PINPOINTS- HAWK ROOSTING -TED HUGHES


1.     Ted Hughes makes Hawk superior. He describes the survival of the Hawk. The poem depicts the Hawk’s life.
2.     The poet  symbolizes the Hawk  with God’s power
3.     He speaks about freedom and survival. Hughes symbolizes Hawk. He praises the nature of  Hawk.
4.     The hawk sits in the  top of the wood with its eyes closed. It doesn’t have any falsifying dream.
5.     The hawk dreams of  killing and eating in dream. It holds the prey in his hooked feet.
6.     The Hawk sits in the high trees. There is air’s buoyancy and the Sun’s ray. It is  advantage to him.
7.     The earth is under the hawk for its inspection. The Earth is facing upward to the Hawk.
8.     The feet of the Hawk is locked upon the bark. The poet tells that it took the whole of creation to produce the hawk’s foot and hawk’s feather.
9.     The Hawk holds the creation in his foot.
10.            The Hawk can kill whatever it wants. There is no falseness in its body. The Hawk’s manner is to tear off  heads.
11.            The Hawk kills without malice
12.            According to the Hawk, the sun is behind it.
13.            There is no change since its birth. Its eyes had not seen any change. 
14.            The Hawk wants to be the same forever.
