RUDYARD KIPLING'S IF

About the poet:

Rudyard kipling is an Indian writer who was the one of the persons to win Nobel Prize in writing he is a great storyteller. His short stories are interesting and were written for the children.  His poems are inspiring to the readers. His poem deals with human endurance.

About the poem:

The poem 'If' is an advice from the father to his son about the qualities of good man. The father sets the parameters or boundaries for his son. He tells his son to set goals to achieve. The poem also focuses on the life challenges and shows how to deal the challenges

Doubting by others:

The poet says that the persons around us could blame and loss hope on us. It is about one's own trust on themself when others doubt their abilities. A person could wait but he must not be tired of waiting. The poet also advises not to tell lies. He wants the readers not to give way to hating. Thus he says

"If you can dream- and not make  dreams your master
If you can think- and not make thoughts your aim"

Two  imposters:

If a person meets with triumph and disaster, he must treat those two imposters just same. The poet considers triumph and disaster as imposters.  A person must not be twisted by evil and he  should not become a trap for the fools.It will lead the person's life to be broken. Instead to fed up with failures the person could start again. He also advises not to breathe a word about the loss.

Hold on:

The poet advices to hold on when there is nothing in us. He also wants the reader to keep goodness when they speak in crowd Though a person walk with kings, he must not lose the common touch. Neither Enemy nor friends can hurt oneself. He advices not to be dependent on others. Thus he tells to live every single minute of life to the fullest. Then the world will be yours and you will be a good man

Conclusion: 

To Conclude with the words of Rudyard Kipling "Yours is the earth everything that's in it, And - which is more - you will be a Man, my son! ". The poet advised his son to live the life to the fullest.
